DVM
Dr. Artman decided to pursue veterinary medicine after a career in forensics, earning her DVM from St. George’s University in 2013. After graduation, she worked as a solo veterinarian for the Humane Society of Pinellas, helping with the growth of their low-cost clinic. After three years, she decided to return to her hometown of Lakeland and join the team here at Turkey Creek Animal Hospital, where her professional interests include surgery and preventive medicine.
Dr. Artman shares her home with a family of animals that includes four cats, a parrotlet, nine chickens, two peacocks and a 55-gallon tank full of fish. When she’s not at work, she enjoys gardening, remodeling, and CrossFit.
