In 1978, Dr. Marks joined what was then May Animal Hospital. After working alongside Dr. May for many years, Dr. Marks purchased the practice and renamed it Turkey Creek Animal Hospital.
Dr. Marks was known for his dedicated care of both pets and people in this community, and early in his career took on “big phosphate” (IMC) after discovering fluorosis in some animals. Even though he thought he was in way over his head, he persevered and eventually secured a reasonable settlement for his clients.
While Dr. Marks was always one to keep a low profile, his legacy of caring and strength in the face of hardship as well as his example of always doing what is right inspires Turkey Creek Animal Hospital to this day.
